Police suspect foul play in mystery of missing Ronaldo boots

Police in Munich are investigating the possible theft of Cristiano
Ronaldo's football boots
from the Real Madrid dressing room before their
Champions League match against Bayern Munich. "We are looking for
information and are speaking to all concerned," a police spokesman said
Wednesday. Two pairs of boots belonging to Ronaldo and two of the
striker's Real Madrid shirts went missing from the team's dressing room
before the semi-final match at the Munich's Allianz Arena Tuesday
evening. A pair of boots belonging to team-mate Mesut Oezil also
disappeared. The team's kit man had placed the items in the dressing
room and discovered they were missing around 5 p.m. (1500 GMT) - just
under four hours before kick-off - although the door had been locked,
police said.
